When trying to achieve success it is important to distinguish between the goals you seek to achieve and the systems in place that will bring you there. The only way to actually win is to get better each day. If you do this, “the score takes care of itself.”

The core idea of the book is that many people mistakenly think success comes from one big defining moment, when in fact it is the tiniest things, compounded over time, that bring true sustainable results in the long run.
The way I approach the problem of multiple priorities is by focusing on just one main metric: my energy. I make choices that maximize my personal energy because that makes it easier to manage all of the other priorities.
Time itself is constantly moving forward and thus changing. If time didn’t move forward, the world would pause to a standstill. There would be no music (changing pitch over time). There would be no acceleration (changing velocity over time)…
